Robert Papes Biography

Bob graduated from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky.  His areas of concentration were Business Administration and Accounting.  He is a graduate of General Electric’s Financial Management Program.

Bob has run eight different businesses with profit and loss responsibility.  He has engineered five consecutive turnarounds in businesses ranging from $15 to $35 million in sales and with up to 260 employees.

Bob has consulted with over sixty-five small businesses, helping them improve their bottom lines.  These businesses were located all over the country and were in numerous industries.  Not only did Bob analyze the issues and opportunities facing these businesses, but he rolled up his sleeves and developed the programs to address their issues and opportunities and then helped implement them.

He has put on numerous seminars for the local Chamber of Commerce as well as the Small Business Center at the regional community college.  He has taught Business Management at Blue Ridge Community College.  He has had two books published.  “Turnaround” was published in 2002 and “Management During an Economic Crisis” was published in 2010.

Bob lives in Western North Carolina with his wife Kay.  His consulting work, seminars and books are dedicated to helping improve the profitability and effectiveness of small businesses.
