About the Company
After successfully engineering five consecutive business turnarounds for large divisions of Fortune 500 Companies, Bob started consulting with small businesses. After helping over sixty-five small businesses all over the country in numerous industries improve their bottom lines, he learned that most of the critical “best business practices” he utilized to engineer the turnarounds, were missing in most of these sixty-five small businesses.
While each business has it own unique issues and opportunities, which affect their bottom line, the lack of most of these “best business practices” in these small businesses made it virtually impossible for them to earn a good profit. Papes consulting not only analyzes the business to identify the unique issues and opportunities to improve the bottom line, but also inventories the “best practices” to determine which ones are needed.
Bob started his consulting business in order to help small businesses survive and thrive. The economic recession has drained most small businesses of their cash reserves. T.A.R.P. money has not gotten down to Main Street as most lending institutions have become risk adverse. In our current economy, those business owners who manage their business the most effectively will be the ones to come out of the recession in tact and prospering.
So many consultants analyze a business, make recommendations and leave. The owners then scratch their heads and wonder how to implement these recommendations. Papes consulting believes that the real value of consulting work is in the development and implementation of the recommended programs. Utilizing his turnaround experience as well as his extensive learning from working with over sixty-five small businesses, Bob develops the programs and helps the client implement them. This is how bottom lines are improved and is the added value that Papes Consulting brings to the table.
